Bristol Borough First Fridays return Friday, May 3 for its fifth summer of celebrations.

On the first Friday of each month from now through September, the Bristol Borough community will close down its streets to traffic and turn them into a party zone. Live music on the wharf, face painting, and food vendors are just a few of the highlights.

Artists, magicians, and musicians will make for a surreal environment. A newly formed band, Nothing But A Nightmare, will play at the wharf. It features teenage Langhorne residents who have already published their debut album.

The American Red Cross will also host a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. at Bristol Masonic Lodge 25. The building is located at 219 Cedar Street.

A free shuttle service is also available to anyone concerned about parking, which will run from 4:15 to 8:15 p.m. The buses will pick people up from the Lenox Parking Lot, at 1414 Radcliffe St., and drop them off at the corner of Market and Cedar Streets.

This staple of Bristol Borough is sponsored by the Bristol Borough Business Association. It is also co-sponsored by Penn Community Bank and Farmers Insurance, Steve Mooney Agency.
