Several roads throughout Lower Bucks will be closed this week for construction and general road work, including the railroad crossing at the intersection of Township Line Road and Big Oak Road in Lower Makefield Township.

The railroad crossing will be closed throughout the week until while the CSX Corporation conducts construction to improve the crossing.

In the meantime, a detour will direct motorists around to Langhorne-Yardley. Rd, to Stony Hill Rd to Heacock Rd to Oxford Valley Rd. Any local residents will be allowed to approach the crossing to get home.

Work will also take place this Thursday on the section of I-95 between Woodhaven Road and Street Road in Bensalem. From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., the right lane will be closed for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance.

PECO Energy is planning to install gas lines next week on roads in Bensalem and Lower Makefield. From Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Dec., two roads will see lane restrictions from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
