The Bensalem Police announced Tuesday afternoon the arrest of an armed robber who stole money and cigarettes from a local tobacco store. District Justice Gallagher issued the warrant last Thursday for a Valentine’s Day incident.
Officers arrested Marshal Brooks, 53, for allegedly stealing $400 and six cartons of cigarettes from the First Stop Tobacco Shop. Located on Street Road, the shop is a local chain with locations in Bensalem, Morrisville, and Levittown.
Police say video surveillance shows Brooks using a handgun to intimidate employees.
Judge Baranoski arraigned Brooks and set bail at $250,000. He will remain in Bucks County Prison pending court procedures.
