A new Aldi opened up in Middletown Thursday morning after a smaller store owned by the same manager closed on Woodbourne Road this past Monday.
The company opened their larger and newer location near the Target shopping center on East Lincoln Highway. Dozens of people awaited the ribbon ceremony to be among the first to get a look at their new location. Store manager Amyrose Jackson was thankful for the turnout.
“It was just wonderful to see people out there that are just as excited as we are. We are very excited to welcome the community to our new store,” Amyrose has been the store manager for over five years.
Aldi staff stood out front of the store and cut the ribbon for all of the new customers to see.
The new Aldi features more products for shopping customers. Customers Mike Olson and his daughter Brynn talk about their first impressions to the new store.
“We really like it a lot, this was on our summer bucket list to come to the grand reopening so we are glad we’re here,” Mike and Brynn were some of the first customers to check out.
Aldi is ready to open their doors to a new and improved location. Aldi says the new store will increase its products by 20%. The new location is going to continue to evolve and meet their customers’ needs.
