WBCB’s Adoptable Pet of the Week is Amy!

Amy from the Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem.

A 5-year-old Pit mix, Amy is a gentle gal who did not bark a single time during her tour of the BCB studio.

Jack Griffin from the Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem says Amy came in as a stray, but is now well trained.

“She has become a staff and volunteer favorite,” Griffen said. “She gets a lot of human time at the shelter.”

Amy is also incredibly fond of children and regularly takes part in the shelter’s Story Tails program. The sessions allow kids to practice reading out loud and help animals become more adjusted to youth.

Important to note, she is not too fond of cats and is selective when it comes to other dogs. Amy has been adopted twice, but it turned out the environment was not right for her. She would do best with another low energy dog or as the only pet in a loving home.
