This week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week is Roger. In one of the fastest turn arounds yet, the brown and white pitbull mix has already found his forever home.

Roger was adopted shortly after appearing in WBCB’s studio Wednesday morning. A family with two children met the gentle pitbull-mix at a meet-and-greet just hours later and fell in love.

Matt from the Trenton Animal Shelter noticed how well Roger did with children at adoption events.

“It’s unique when a dog recognizes a child. They bring a calm demeanor, instead of a more energetic demeanor,” Matt said.

Roger’s story is of triumph after terrible circumstances. He was found on Roger Street in Trenton with mites, an extremely malnourished figure, and injuries consistent with being hit by a car. He is now healthy, happy, and living with a loving family.

Don’t shop, adopt! You can find more information on Rogers or any other pet up for adoption with the Trenton Animal Shelter on Pet Finder, email them at TASDogs@gmail.com, or visit their shelter Monday-Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM.
