A man from Philadelphia was arrested this past weekend in Bucks County on felony drug charges. Police say they pulled over Charles Shaw for a traffic stop and found close to 600 bags of heroin and other drugs stuffed in his pants.

This investigation began in early June when investigators from Bedminster Township Police Department and Bucks County Detectives performed controlled purchases of what was believed to be heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine from Shaw.

Undercover agents purchased forty bags of heroin in two weeks. Other municipality police departments, including Falls Township, also provided their resources and support.

Detectives determined Shaw, 45, was using a residence on the 3600 block of Bedminster Road in Bedminster Township to package the drugs.

Shaw was stopped by police on Saturday along Route 113 in Bedminster Township and taken into custody. While being taken into custody police noticed a bulge in Shaw’s crotch area, which is where they found two large bags.

These larger bags allegedly had 590 baggies of heroin, with several other drugs, including seven bags of cocaine and crystal meth each.

Bail has been set at 10 percent of $200,000 by District Judge Michael W. Gallagher who arraigned Shaw on Saturday.
