With Christmas in the rearview mirror and the needles coming down, many people will soon be looking to get rid of their trees.

Anyone can drop off their holiday lumber to Waste Management’s Scale House area on Bordentown Road in Morrisville for composting free of charge. But for someone without the time or means, collections are available.

For each municipality, remove all decorations and any plastic bags before collection.

Falls residents have two Saturdays for pickup on Jan. 11 and 25. Any tree more than 6 feet tall must be cut in half.

For Middletown, Christmas tree pickup is every Wednesday throughout January.

In Bristol Borough, there will be a designated day for yard waste on Saturday, Jan. 4. Residents can then put trees in with trash on normal collection days.
